The West Coast Fishing Club Culinary Culture
The West Coast Fishing Club is no ordinary fishing destination. Located on the mystic islands of Haida Gwaii off the northwest coast of Canada, our lodges provide a level of culinary excellence and service that has captured the attention of the most discerning food-lovers, and has long set us apart in Canada’s sport-fishing industry.
But it isn’t just guests from around the world who have taken notice. The commitment to establishing a dynamic culinary culture has also drawn the attention of many of the nation’s most well-known chefs who have taken part in our culinary-themed event series, including Normand Laprise, Vikram Vij, Anthony Walsh and Jamie Kennedy.
The marquis event is the David Hawksworth & Friends Culinary Adventure, which features celebrity chefs selected by Vancouver’s leading chef and restaurateur. Thanks to David, and to our partnership with Canada’s Best 100 Restaurants, The Club is able to feature celebrity guest chefs from across North America and beyond.
The event series also focuses on barbeque-themed events that feature some of the world’s most renowned pit-masters, including Tuffy Stone, five-time winner of the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational. Our newest event in the series is our Coastal Culinary Adventure, where we whisk our guests away via helicopter to the most remote and sumptuous beach picnic ever imagined.
