July is almost over, and it’s time for another update from down in Port Louis.
The last 2 weeks has seen some pretty prolific action rolling through, and we have been lucky enough to expose our guests to some of the best of what the West Coast has to offer.
We welcomed back Jeff Marin and his crew for an epically sunny and flat week on the water.
We said goodbye to the group and welcomed in our next guests.
Mike Pacey pulled out a nice 30lber on this trip on the second day.
Landon Mclnall also landed a 30lb tyee on his 3rd day
The lighthouse has been firing on all cylinders in the last week. We are tubing out on average in less than half a day. The coho have come in thick as well, with 11lbers coming in regularly.
I myself took a couple staff members down yesterday, and within 2 hours we had our limit. Lucky we went, because I was just about to move when a call came through from the butcher asking if I had my camera.
The Tubs are coming in here hard and fast. There are lots of fish, with fresh runs of Chinook showing up all the time. The Coho have arrived in force and fishing south has been as good as ever. I’ve had multiple guests say this is the best fishing they have ever had in HG.
Until next update, keep your spoons shiny.
